The Clerk and Recorder’s Office is responsible for recording deeds, marriage licenses, issuing passports, titling and registering automobiles, issuing driver’s licenses, registering voters, administering elections and maintaining records for the Board of County Commissioners.

Who is Joan Lopez? She has worked within the Arapahoe county clerk’s office for 21 years and has the skills, experience and training  to streamline any task ( with a smile). But who is Joan Lopez? She is a Colorado Native, A wife and mother.

Joan Lopez is a Democrat, a proud Democrat, that believes in a woman’s right to choose. Believes in equal pay for equal work and LGBTQ rights. She wants Immigration laws that strive for inclusion since our country is stronger with diversity. Joan Lopez believes that common sense gun laws will make our streets, schools and lives safer.

Joan Lopez  wants justice system reforms that include drug addiction and mental health therapy not jail time. Most of all Joan Lopez will fight for your right to vote. If you don’t vote your voice will not be heard. She will be proud to count your vote.

Joseph D. Neguse is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 2nd congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously was a Regent of the University of Colorado from 2008 to 2015.

U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 7th congressional district, serving since 2007.Perlmutter was a Colorado State Senator from 1995 to 2003. He was elected to two four-year terms to represent central Jefferson County as State Senator from 1995 to 2003—the first Democrat elected in the district in 30 years.In 2000, he helped lead a team that succeeded in a Democratic takeover of the Colorado State Senate for the first time since John F. Kennedy was president. He has assisted numerous campaigns.

Philip Weiser is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the 39th Colorado Attorney General, since 2019

Joan Lopez Is the current Arapahoe county clerk and is working hard for the people. Covid-19 and all the changes required have been a challenge to navigate. With all the new rules and procedures  Arapahoe county safely reopened first in the state.

Joan is a dedicated wife and mother, married to Gary McCarty for seventeen years. She is a proud mother of two beautiful kids Sarah 15 and step son Joshua 33. Joan currently lives in Aurora Colorado, and has lived in Arapahoe County for over 36 years, Joan is making a difference in Arapahoe County and has more plans for expanding and simplifying Arapahoe County services . She will always make sure the county changes for the better and will continue to work hard to make Arapahoe County stronger and better. Let the person that knows Arapahoe County lead Arapahoe County. Re-elect Joan Lopez.
